About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Event Manager to organise and manage our key events. Someone with a keen interest in impact and/or sustainability and excellent communication, networking and organisation skills. The Event Manager will play a key role in implementing our INSPIRE strategy and contributing to our growth as a young, fast-growing, and ambitious community. With a focus on B2B activities, you will work closely with our Managing Director and Communication Advisor to drive our events. Your main responsibilities are organising events according to our Action Agenda.
As Event Manager, you will play a pivotal role in organising the events, including the exclusive CoFoF deal-sharing activities of the NAB. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by coordinating the various stakeholders, including speakers, participants, sponsors, the NAB Board and community and the broader public.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Task and Responsibilities
Lead the organisation of events, conferences, and webinars to promote impact investing and the achievements of NAB.
Identify and negotiate locations for the variable audience (50 to 100, occasionally more).
Select and manage service providers (such as photographers, catering,…) for the events.
Coordinate speakers and brief them on organisational aspects.
Propose and source moderators and chairs for the events.
Monitor and coordinate budgets.
Collaborate with the team to create compelling advertising content about the events for various
communication channels, newsletters, blogs, social media posts, website updates and invitations.
Collaborate with the team to engage with media partners and outlets, and journalists to the
event’s brand and visibility, and secure media coverage.
Monitor events’ performance and report back to sponsors.
Requirements
Degree in Management, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
At least 5 years’ experience in developing and managing medium-to-large-scale events.
Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English. Non-Dutch-speaking candidates will not be considered.
Affinity with impact and sustainability.
Enthusiastic to work in multi-stakeholder and multi-cultural environments.
