About the Role

One of the NAB’s main activities is to coordinate programs and working groups with its stakeholders. For this position, we are looking for an enthusiastic and active Programme Manager - Netherlands, with a keen interest in impact investing and/or development finance. A person with excellent organizational and analytical skills, a team player, who sees opportunities and acts upon it. In this role, you will play a key role in driving the organization's mission by leading and managing the strategic programs and working groups focussing on mobilizing capital in the Netherlands. You will have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders, including investors, partners, and the wider impact investment community, to raise awareness, address barriers, and increase confidence in investing in impact. You will directly work with the Managing Director and with the Director Program 10% target on strategic developments.

Requirements

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Managing two to three programs or working groups from beginning to end, which means you are involved in the development stage until project closure. You will develop goals, activities and ensure seamless implementation;

  • Managing and expanding a group of diverse stakeholders. In all NAB programs, we closely work together with NAB members and other Dutch or international organizations, including other NABs. You will maintain and expand our network by involving and working with financial institutions, policy makers, private sector, knowledge institutions, standard-setting bodies and NGOs;

  • Prepare and manage program budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful program delivery;

  • Analysing policies and writing proposals of new ones in consultation with stakeholders;

  • Writing proposals, Terms of References, PowerPoint presentations and talk to possible donors for fundraising;

  • Developing knowledge and coordinating research and publications, you will contract, guide and direct consultants where needed;

  • Organizing working group sessions, seminars, webinars, trainings and/or conferences on specific program/sector related themes;

  • Communication activities: writing content for the website and social media, such as blogs, articles and annual report;

  • Represent the NAB at events, conferences, and other public forums to enhance the organization's visibility and thought leadership

  • Administrative tasks: the NAB has a small team and therefore distributes administrative tasks over its employees. This can include administration, keeping databases up-to-date, contracting, coordinating with service support departments such as ICT, editors, consultants, website developers, etc.


Education

  • Master’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business, Economics, (Sustainable) Finance, or International Relations.


Personal skills and competences

  • At least 3 years of project/program management experience, preferably within the non-profit or impact finance sector;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Skilled in translating insights and information into activities/plans;

  • Strong skills in planning, organizing and prioritizing;

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders;

  • Flexible, pragmatic and capable of working on several projects at the same time;

  • General understanding of relevant policy frameworks and developments in the Dutch impact investing and sustainable finance sector is a plus;

  • Knowledge of and affinity with impact or sustainable investing, social entrepreneurship and/or development finance;

  • Excellent command of English language, native or fluent in Dutch (non-Dutch-speaking candidates will not be considered);

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
