scaling impact investing

towards 10% for impact

The NAB's main goal is to encourage investors to allocate at least 10% of their assets under management to impact investing by 2025, with a specific 4% allocation to emerging markets by 2030.

We organize a diverse range of activities to strengthen the Dutch impact investment ecosystem and to foster collaboration among all stakeholders, aimed at increasing the scale and effectiveness.

Through our activities, we aim to engage, to inspire and to catalyse:

Engage - we work with public and private organizations, and bring very diverse groups of stakeholders together, stimulate cooperation to reduce fragmentation of efforts, and advocate for market-driven policies based on evidence and global best practices towards policymakers and financial institutions.

Inspire - increase awareness and understanding of impact investing by the larger public and by financial institutions to help them make the right choices.

Catalyse - together with our stakeholders, we shape the ecosystem to match supply and demand of capital, co-create solutions (impact investors, governments and donors), addressing the barriers limiting the scale and efficiency of the impact investing ecosystem.

our 10% target programme

With our 10% Target Program, we encourage Dutch pension funds, asset managers, insurance companies, and banks to allocate at least 10% of their AuM to impact investments by 2025.

emerging markets ecosystem building programme

The NAB encourages investors, as sub-target of its 10% program,  to direct 4% of its AuM towards impact investing in emerging markets.
