The Impact Investment Institute, the UK NAB also part of the GSG network, together with the Green Finance Institute and Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment has published a proposal for a Green+ Gilt.
The Green+ Gilt would mark an important development on the green bonds market, where sovereign bonds would deliver climate action and social renewal. The proposal could help finance the COVID-19 recovery plan in the UK and would deliver benefits on environmental, social, fiscal, systemic, and global levels.
The proposal is supported by over 40 asset owners and investors, representing organizations and influential entities.
