Financial Administrator

About the Role

Role: The NAB applies high standards to its financial accountability towards its contributors. We are looking for an all-round financial administrator to support this effort. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining an accurate financial administration and producing financial management information and reports. You will work in close cooperation with the external accountant Stolp+KAB who maintains the accounts and produces financial statements. You will report to the Managing Director of the NAB and interact regularly with the team on financial matters. You will be part of a dynamic impact-driven environment with the opportunity to be involved on a broad range of topics.

Requirements

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all invoices and expenses are paid in a timely manner and administered correctly. Keep record of all supplier contracts and obligations. 

  • Prepare payment requests for funding providers and be the first point of contact for follow-up. 

  • Manage the liquidity position of the NAB.  

  • Prepare financial reports for management, the Board, and external stakeholders, using the financial administration that is made available via Exact Online. Reporting includes actuals versus budget, forecasts, and specific project allocations. 

  • Support preparations for the annual external audit. Look after correct filing and reconciliation of all financial information.  

  • Pro-actively support the team on other reporting or administrative tasks. 


Personal skills and competences: 

  • MBO degree in financial administration; 

  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the non-profit sector in The Netherlands;

  •  Accurate and well-organized; 

  • Flexible team-player with a broad interest; •

  • General understanding of accounting for foundations and subsidies is a plus; 

  • Affinity with impact investing and social entrepreneurship; 

  •  Fluent English writing skills.
