2024 NAB impact report

We proudly present to you our 2024 Impact Report!

Since our inception, the NAB has come a long way. In 2024, we welcomed 10 new members, and now we stand tall together with a total of 30 members. With our growing community and our diverse activities, we are ever more involved in engaging, inspiring and catalysing the impact economy.

The momentum in the ecosystem has been strong. In 2024, major institutional investors have publicly committed to a 10% impact allocation— an encouraging sign of alignment with our 10% Target initiative and a strong signal to the wider financial market. Because goals without a target might only remain wishes... We are very proud that the first two were NAB members: a.s.r. in June and Achmea in August.

With 11 events and 11 publications, we informed, connected, and inspired the ecosystem because we believe knowledge shared is knowledge grown. To further build visibility and sector leadership, we engaged with political parties to elevate impact investing as a serious policy alternative. The NAB is becoming a trusted and visible voice of the sector, recognised by sector stakeholders.

At the European level, we contributed to the creation of a harmonised definition of impact investing. We played an active role in advocacy, contributing to SFDR consultations and the European Manifesto for impact ahead of the EU elections. Internationally, we supported the development of local ecosystems by funding two African National Partners (NPs) in Nigeria and Ghana.

At the end of the year, we took a bold step forward by joining forces with CoFoF, creating the leading impact investing platform in the Netherlands. This strategic consolidation positions us to better serve the ecosystem by co-creating solutions that can drive even greater impact in the years to come.

These milestones reflect not only how far we’ve come as but also the accelerating momentum of our ecosystem enmeshed in a shared mission: shaping a more sustainable, inclusive, and impactful financial future. We remain dedicated towards creating an ecosystem that can bring the highest value to (Dutch) impact investing community.
