About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated intern to support our team in our internal,
external and digital communications for a period of at least 6 months. We are looking for someone
with a keen interest in changing the world positively and excellent communication and
organisation skills. At the NAB (Netherlands Advisory Board on impact investing), we want our
interns to contribute in a meaningful way. We offer the opportunity to have a hands-on
experience. We are a small team, and we help each other in what we can, so you will be able to
explore and develop different skills.

  1. Support in communication tasks

    • Manage our social media, newsletter and website.

    • Assist in preparing presentations, layout, design of reports, factsheets and infographics.

    • Support the team in writing articles, blogs, newsletters & invitations, and send them out to our members.

    • Contribute with ideas and manage communication campaigns.

    • Monitor digital marketing analytics (for website, social media and newsletters).

    • Keep internal communication databases up to date.


  1. Support in daily tasks

    • Contribute to relationship management and communication with our members and stakeholders: (social) enterprises, impact fund managers, financial institutions, institutional investors, family offices, NGOs, networks, universities, policy makers, etc.

    • Take minutes during meetings.

    • Assist in organisation and take care of practical arrangements for our (joint) events and conferences.

    • Assist in organising workshops and seminars for our members and stakeholders, and take care of practical arrangements.

    • Support the team with additional project-related tasks at hand.


You are:

  • Currently enrolled at a Dutch university (preferably in a field relevant to this position:

  • Communication, Marketing, Business, International relations, Economics and Philosophy),

  • Genuinely interested in impact, sustainability and making the world a better place,

  • Proactive, autonomous, and flexible,

  • Fluent in English and preferably in Dutch (both spoken and written),

  • Excellent at writing for communication purposes,

  • Creative and curious,

  • Enthusiastic to work in multi-stakeholder and multi-cultural environments,

  • Experienced in IT skills (Microsoft Office Package, AI tools),

  • Affinity with newsletter formats, WIX design software and Canva/InDesign/Photoshop,

  • Experienced in web design, and website content management and curation.

About the Company

The Netherlands Advisory Board on impact investing ("NAB") is an independent, non-profit (ANBI)
Foundation which aims to accelerate the growth and improve the effectiveness of the impact investing market. It does this by raising awareness of, addressing barriers to and increasing confidence in investing with impact.
Our vision is that in a healthy impact investment ecosystem, investments and
savings help in solving social and environmental challenges, as well as seeking a financial return.
