The Netherlands Advisory Board on impact investing (NAB) supports the creation of a healthy impact investment ecosystem, where investments and savings purposely help in solving social and environmental challenges, as well as seek a financial return.

We want to express our gratitude to our growing community, to the NAB Board and to the team for making our achievements possible, and to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs for providing us core funding for the next 4 years. 2023 has been a year of transition for the NAB, with the building of a strong team and of a solid organisation, but also for the Dutch impact investing ecosystem. In 2023, we have clearly felt the Dutch public and financial sectors shifting their approach of about impact investing: from the “why” to the “how”. How to engage with our constituency and develop an impact strategy, how to harmonise laws and regulations regarding sustainable finance, how to build European norms & standards, how to train finance professionals, how to accelerate the necessary organisational transformation?
